Campaigns
Campaign I: Exploration
November 2026
The aim of the exploratory campaign is to survey, narrow down and finally select the garden sites to be investigated. During the first week, potential sites will be examined on site and assessed for their suitability in relation to the project’s research questions. In the second week, three to five sites will be selected in collaboration with the departments of Cultural Studies and Landscape Architecture. The key criteria will be the consortium’s shared research questions, the informative value of the findings, and their suitability for digital documentation, reconstruction and subsequent design-based interpretation.
